About Us

The aim of this group is to bring together the research, current clinical practices, and lived experiences of a variety of clinical presentations from a trauma- informed perspective. To provide a network of information sharing, discussion, research and professional Support in relation to trauma informed practice.

To provide opportunities for training and professional development in the area of Trauma informed practice.

To inform service development and provision at a national level.

The purpose of the TASIG is to provide a forum for psychologists and health Professionals with an interest in trauma informed practice and research. The group aims to increase awareness of trauma informed practice through continuing professional development and providing a space for discussion to promote and increase the provision of trauma informed practice. The TASIG will aim to achieve these objectives by providing talks and workshops. The SIGTA aims to promote awareness of lived experiences of service-users.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING GROUP MEMBERSHIP CHARGES:

You will be charged the full membership fee upon application. Should your membership be approved, this will cover your group membership for the rest of the calendar year. Your group membership will renew automatically during the renewal period (between 01 January and 31 March), along with your general PSI membership. Please note, should your application be declined, there are no refunds for your groupapplication fee, as per PSI T&C's: https://www.psychologicalsociety.ie/footer/Terms-and-Conditions. Thus, please ensure to read the membership criteria very carefully before making an application to join a PSI group (div or SIG).
